Vehicle Description
This 1969 COPO Camaro was ordered new by Clippenger Chevrolet in
Covina, CA, with COPO 9561 code. While virtually all COPO Camaros
were manufactured in the Norwood, OH, plant, this COPO was built at
the Van Nuys, CA, plant and is listed in the COPO Connection
Registry as the only COPO Camaro built in Van Nuys. It was treated
to a professional rotisserie restoration with attention to detail
throughout, including re-creating the original assembly line
markings. This COPO retains its original drivetrain, including the
L72 427/425hp V8 engine mated to the M21 4-speed manual
transmission and 12-bolt rear end. It has been professionally
repainted in its original rare color code 61 (Burnished Brown)
using Ditzler acrylic lacquer (the originals were done in lacquer).
This is a heater and radio delete car, and the interior is original
except for the carpet. As ordered, this COPO retains options such
as the spoiler package, HD suspension, power front disc brakes,
sport-style steering wheel, chambered exhaust, HD radiator, special
front color-matched bumper, special ducted functional cowl hood,
exterior molding and interior decor. One of approximately 1,000
COPO 9561 Camaros built. It was formerly owned by C.K. Spurlock,
singer Kenny Roger's promotional manager. This car has been under
the same ownership for close to 20 years. Comes with a COPO
Connection Certificate of Authenticity, copy of partial Build Sheet
and NCRS Shipping Data Report. 47,117 actual miles (the title reads
mileage exempt).
