Vehicle Description
This custom 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS was built by Dave Kunicki
and Dave Murphy of Blue Max Restorations. Power is supplied by an
all-aluminum Wegner LS 416ci engine with an air-to-water
intercooled supercharger, producing 930hp and 823 ft/lbs of torque.
The engine has a dry-sump oil system and is mated to a 5-speed
Jericho transmission with a custom-made 7.25-inch triple-plate
carbon clutch, Tilton flywheel and Mark Williams driveline. The
engine breathes through a set of hand-built stainless headers with
rectangular X-pipe exhaust. The frame and suspension were
reinforced by Freddies Fabrication in Kent, WA. It features rear
suspension converted to a 3-link setup using a full floater rear
end with Wavetrac differential, 35-spline axles and Panhard bar.
The front suspension is composed of tubular arms, anti-sway bars
and coilover shocks. The brakes are 14-inch front rotors, 13-inch
rear rotors with 6-piston calipers in front and 4-piston calipers
on the rear. Other custom features include carbon-fiber inner
fender wells, oil tank, custom door handles, hood pins and widened
hood scoops. The custom front bumper allows more air for the
intercooler. The interior consists of four custom bucket seats with
Tobacco-colored woven leather, a handmade dash with Dakota Digital
gauges, along with floor-mounted pedals with a foot rest on either
side. This vehicle is finished in Danube Blue on top and
underneath, and it was featured in Canadian Hot Rods magazine
(included with the sale).
