This custom 1963 Corvette was completed in November 2022 by Ken
Sungela of Custom Restorations LLC. The Split-Window coupe body
lines were preserved while incorporating numerous upgrades for
added power, performance and driver comfort, including a Rothspeed
custom performance chassis with their unique X-frame rail design,
providing increased frame rigidity for added performance.
Custom-tuned JRI coilover shocks provide 30 increments of ride
control adjustability. The floors were lowered and pedal assembly
moved forward for added driver comfort. The Dutchman IRS turns
heavy-duty chromoly axle shafts through 3.73 gears out to C7
Corvette hubs and spindles. Stopping power is provided by an
electrically assisted dual reservoir master cylinder and Wilwood
Corvette-scripted calipers with drilled and slotted rotors. The
engine is cooled with a Dewitts polished radiator and variable
speed cooling fan for quieter operation. Stainless-steel headers
feed the Jet Hot-coated side pipes, creating a "wake up the
neighbors" exhaust rumble. A touch of a switch under the dash can
redirect the exhaust to a custom-fabricated under-the-car system
using 304 SS feeding Borla mufflers out the rear of the car for a
milder exhaust note. The new GM LS3 engine generates over 500hp and
is topped off with a Borla 8-stack injection system with polished
trumpet stacks complemented by custom Corvette-scripted polished
valve covers. A new GM 4L70E automatic overdrive transmission is
connected to a driver adjustable controller for shift points, shift
firmness and torque converted lockup. A Painless wiring
harness/system was installed throughout the entire vehicle. The
power lays down to the road with 18-inch front and 20-inch rear
Schott Fuel wheels wrapped with red line performance tires. The
silver metallic exterior paint is complemented by new and polished
brightwork and billet hood grilles. Added features include power
steering, power brakes, Detroit Speed headlight actuators, LED
headlights and exterior lighting, a Vintage Air system, power
windows, original design gauges with electronic functionality,
carbon-fiber dash inlays, Billet Specialties steering wheel and a
chrome Ididit tilt steering column. Polished billet
Corvette-scripted door sills welcome the driver to the Adrenaline
Red interior featuring C8 Corvette adjustable seats with
three-point safety belts and leather-covered dash, door panels,
console and window trim. The original radio was fitted with new
electronics with Bluetooth connectivity powering Audison and Hertz
speakers and amplifier. Included in the sale is complete
operational and maintenance documentation.
