Vehicle Description
This custom 1955 Chevrolet Nomad went through a 5-year, frame-off
build by T&D Performance and received paint from Erik's Trick
Restos in White City, OR. The engine bay holds a polished power
steering pump with a remote reservoir for an Art Morrison power
rack & pinion steering. Underneath is a custom stainless-steel fuel
cell, a Holley fuel pump and fuel filter with a fuel pressure
regulator and gauge. This car features a custom motorized gas
taillight filler and is powered by a balanced and blueprinted
Chevrolet 383ci stroker V8 engine pushing 500hp, mated to a B&M
TH350 automatic transmission. This transmission features a shift
kit and a Hughes 2,500 rpm stall torque converter, and the engine
is topped with a custom-polished Borla intake topped with a
polished Borla 8-stack fuel injection run by a Holley fuel
management system. This car also has a polished aluminum water
pump, ball-milled valve covers and an air-conditioning compressor.
For its spark, it uses a MSD ignition system, Accel SuperStock plug
wires and a Hi-Torque starter. Polished stainless-steel lines and
extensive braided stainless-steel lines run through the engine bay,
along with polished stainless-steel bolts and fasteners. Eddie
Motorsports billet hinges support the hood, and the engine bay is
lined with a polished aluminum radiator, a custom radiator support,
a polished air-conditioning condenser, dual electric cooling fans,
a polished stainless-steel overflow reservoir, a polished
alternator and polished brackets. This car also has Sanderson
ceramic-coated exhaust headers hooked to a custom Borla
stainless-steel exhaust. A custom transmission and flywheel
inspection cover has also been installed. It rides on an Art
Morrison GT Sport chassis with chromed 4-link rear suspension, a
Currie 9-inch rear end and PAC Racing Springs with adjustable front
and rear coilover shocks. For stopping, the Wilwood power disc
brakes use slotted and cross-drilled brake rotors. Up front is an
Art Morrison chromed independent suspension, polished tubular
control arms, 2-inch drop spindles and a chrome front sway bar with
PAC Racing Springs. The exterior has received custom modifications
throughout, along with gray tinted glass, a chrome rearview mirror
and dual chrome side mirrors. It also features smoothed and tucked
one-piece front and rear bumpers that were body-paint-matched on
the inside and chromed on the outside, with a custom-built chrome
grille and halogen headlights with LED turn signals. The interior
features Vintage Air controls and vents, AutoMeter white-face
gauges, a Flaming River chrome tilt steering column, a Billet
Specialties steering wheel, Lokar pedals, Nu-Relics power windows,
polished billet knobs and controls, a Kenwood stereo head unit,
Alpine amplifiers and Kicker speakers with a subwoofer. It has a
custom-built electronic fuel-filler door, and under the gate sits
the electronically lit rear drop-down license plate holder, with
many more features. This wagon has won multiple awards, including
Best in Show Finalist at Hot August Nights 2021, Award of
Excellence from Goodguys, Outstanding Interior-Custom from ISCA
2022, First Place at AutoRama 2022 and Utah's Top 10 from AutoRama.
