Vehicle Description
This 1966 Chevrolet C10 custom pickup underwent a frame-off,
nut-and-bolt restoration that was completed in late 2020. This
original short-bed pickup is from the Fremont, CA, plant. It is
powered by an LS3 V8 engine with retro valve covers mated to a
4L70E automatic transmission. The engine features Doug Thorley
headers, and the truck also has a 3-inch exhaust, a 10-bolt
Truetrac posi-traction rear end and a Mattson's aluminum radiator.
It is upgraded with an American Autowire harness and rides on
tubular upper control arms, and also features power brakes (with
upgraded front disc), power steering and air-ride suspension with
two compressors. The aluminum gas tank has been moved to under the
bed. Finished in custom PPG two-tone paint, this pickup's exterior
features a custom hickory bed with a filler cap. All the glass was
replaced and completed with new rubber, and all the chrome and
aluminum trim was either restored or replaced. Stainless-steel
hardware was used throughout the truck. The custom leather interior
was completed by Deluxe Interiors in California and features a
custom Bluetooth sound system that was done at Custom Dimensions in
El Monte, CA, with all Alpine components. With a cab covered in
Dynamat, this truck features a Dakota Digital dash, Old Air
Products air conditioning and a wood-trimmed Lecarra steering
wheel. This pickup rolls on 20-inch Detroit wheels wrapped in
whitewall Toyo tires. The vehicle was featured in Classic Truck
Performance magazine. This comprehensive restoration was completed
by Chimera Motorsports in Huntington Beach, CA. 2,401 miles
(mileage not indicated on the title).
