Comprehensive 9-year restoration as a re-creation of a 1967 Bill
Thomas/Nickey Stage III Chevrolet Camaro. It is powered by a real
Corvette Tri-Power 427ci L89 engine with the original block, heads
and crank. The engine was built by Duffee Motor Sports and is
balanced, blueprinted and dyno-tested at 500hp. The engine is
backed by an M22 4-speed manual transmission with a real 1967
12-bolt rear end. Other features include trim rings, 4.10
posi-traction, L88 clutch/flywheel, square traction bars, original
power disc brakes, radio delete, speed warning, transistorized
ignition, chambered exhaust, original wheels and correct red line
tires. The frame-off nut-and-bolt restoration used original sheet
metal and no replacement panels. Extensive research and care was
put into gathering the most original parts. The car is finished in
Tuxedo Black with an Ermine White stripe.
