Vehicle Description
This custom 1935 Dodge KC half-ton pickup is the recipient of a
full-body-off custom build. This all-steel truck features numerous
body modifications and is finished in Axalta Desert Khaki with a
mirror-polished stainless-steel bed. The exterior is equipped with
white padded interior bed side panels and a white removable tonneau
cover, leather hood strap tie-downs, hand-laced leaf spring wraps,
custom-trimmed running boards and nerf-bar-style bumpers. All the
chrome and stainless have been refinished and polished to
show-quality standards. The custom fitted interior features Viper
White color-matched Italian scar-free leather and a braided leather
floor with materials sourced from Relicate Leather. AutoMeter
Prestige Series Pearl White gauges were chosen to complement the
stunning white leather, steering wheel and dash. The 218 Flathead
6-cylinder engine has been equipped with a period Edmunds polished
aluminum head, a period Edmunds polished aluminum intake and new
dual chrome Stromberg 97 carburetors, along with chrome air intake
scoops, custom ceramic-coated headers and a custom dual-exhaust
system. Converted to a 12-volt electrical system and fitted with a
Powermaster PowerGen, this truck features all-new wiring throughout
using braided cloth covered wire to maintain the period look of the
build. This Dodge rides on Rocket Racing solid cast-aluminum wheels
custom-finished in Viper White with custom bullet center caps
wrapped in Firestone Deluxe Champion tires. Featured by MotorTrend,
this truck has been sparingly shown, only in the Pacific Northwest.
Its extensive awards received during its brief show history
included being selected at the Boise Roadster Show by Chip Foose
and Ken Reister to receive the coveted Reister's Rod Shop Pro Pick
Award, a Goodguys Builders Choice Award, numerous ISCA awards at
the Boise Roadster Show and Portland Roadster Show (including
Outstanding Paint and Outstanding Detail awards), in addition to
numerous Best in Show and Best in Class awards.
