This custom 1970 Plymouth HEMI GTX is powered by a Ray Barton
blueprinted 528/650hp HEMI engine mated to a TCI Super
Streetfighter 727 TorqueFlite automatic transmission with 3000
stall and a Dana 60 rear end with 3.73 gears and Strange axles. The
engine is equipped with aluminum heads, high-performance bearings,
stainless-steel valves, RBRE custom multi-angle valve job, ARP
intake manifold bolts, Edelbrock carburetors, progressive street
HEMI linkage and ARP carburetor studs. It also has a 4340 forged
crankshaft, 4340 H-beam steel connecting rods, diamond-forged
pistons, Ray Barton custom ground solid cam, Billet roller double
timing chain, ARP camshaft bolts, Tool Steel solid lifters, center
sump oil pan, stroker windage tray, Melling high-volume oil pump,
Ray Barton black cast-aluminum valve covers, Moroso posi-traction
lock, billet breathers with black braided lines, ARP valve cover
bolts and an RBRE custom high-performance gasket set with Cometic
MLS head gaskets. Stopping power is provided by Wilwood 6-piston
cross-drilled and slotted front disc brakes and 4-piston rear
discs, as well as a Wilwood master cylinder and reservoir. This
Resto-Mod rides on Control Freaks independent front suspension with
coilovers and rear drag shocks, and rolls on two-piece U.S. Mags
wheels with a brushed finish, polished lips and barrels wrapped in
ZR-rated tires. The exterior is finished in Lime Green Metallic
(code FF4) and features a factory J81 spoiler; the trunk and
undercarriage are painted to match. The custom interior has air
conditioning, a new headliner, a carbon-fiber-covered dash with red
GTX logo, door panel strips and center console with GTX embossed
floor mats.
