Vehicle Description
This pro-built Resto-Mod 1959 Chevrolet Suburban is by Dave Carnock
at Carnock Creations in Des Moines, IA. Complete body-off build
from a solid original 1959 body (with pictures of it as bare metal
after media-blasting). This car features a powder-coated chassis
and suspension components. It is powered by a new GM LS3 crate
engine mated to a new GM 4L60E transmission. The engine is equipped
with ceramic-coated headers and a custom-fabricated exhaust system,
Street and Performance front-drive system, an aluminum radiator and
a 9-inch Ford rear end with a 3.55 limited-slip differential. It is
equipped with a Chassis Engineering rear suspension, an F-body IFS
front clip, Global West tubular A-arms and custom coilovers.
Stopping is provided by 4-wheel power disc brakes. The interior
features full leather with Wiseguys seats (the third row is
removable like in a modern Suburban) and 8-way power adjustable
front seats. The front passenger seat tilts forward for easy access
to rear seating. Finished in PPG black paint, this wagon has a
modern sound system integrated into an original-looking radio,
original gauges that were converted to work with the modern
drivetrain, power windows, a Vintage Air system in the front and
rear, and a Flaming River tilt column. ** PREVIEW
