Vehicle Description
This custom 1951 Chevrolet 3100 pickup is powered by a 385ci V8
fast-burn GM small-block crate engine with a quick-fuel carburetor,
MSD ignition and Sanderson headers flowing out of the 2.5-inch
mandrel bend exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers, all mated to a built
TH400 transmission. It has a Dutchman Ford 9-inch rear end with
3.55 gears, 31-spline axles and Trak-Loc. This pickup rides on a
TCI front suspension with power steering, a sway bar and disc
brakes. It is controlled by a Fat Man 4-bar setup with adjustable
coilover shocks, and a Master Power Hydro-Boost brake kit helps
this truck stop on a dime. The frame, fuel tank and all related
parts have been powder-coated. The interior has a classic feel but
is equipped with a modern stereo and Classic Instrument gauges. The
seats are red with gray trim, and the pinstriping inside and out
was done by Steve Nunez. This truck was built from start to finish
by a highly qualified crew at Northwest Autofab in Tangent, OR.
