Vehicle Description
This 1970 Ford Torino N/W Edition is powered by a 429ci Cobra Jet
engine paired with a 4-speed manual transmission with Hurst
shifter, power steering and brakes. With the new-generation Torino
set to debut in 1970, the Oregon Ford Dealer Association wanted to
release a special edition to help promote the new body style. The
aptly named North-West Edition featured a muscle car appearance
with black hoods, dual chrome lock pins, dual racing mirrors and
rocker panel stripes. Three factory special colors were available
Oregon Orange, Washington Green and Pacific Blue. This 1970 Ford
Torino North-West Edition 429 Cobra Jet is finished in Pacific Blue
with a black interior and is one of 12 cars equipped with these
engine and transmission codes, according to the Marti Report that
comes with the car. The Torino is still equipped with its original
tags located on the engine, transmission and rear differential
verifying it as a matching-numbers example.
