Vehicle Description
This 1955 Chevrolet 3100 short-bed custom pickup is powered by an
IROC tuned-port fuel-injected 350ci crate engine paired to a 700R4
automatic transmission with a 10-bolt rear end and 3.42 gears. It
features a polished stainless-steel exhaust, 4-wheel power disc
brakes and Heidts Superide II suspension with power rack & pinion
steering. The gray leather interior is carried out through the
seat, door panels, headliner, carpet binding and European velour
carpet and features a Vintage Air system, an Alpine CD stereo and
Dakota Digital instrumentation. A custom-built fuel tank has been
relocated to the rear of the truck between the frame rails with a
custom remotely operated fuel door. The speakers, battery and
engine computer now sit behind the seat. The wheels are custom Boyd
billet aluminum. The exterior is finished in a Robin's Egg Blue and
boasts body modifications that include shaved emblems, filled stake
pockets, a beveled tailgate and an oak bed. This truck has won
multiple awards over the years, including at the 1996 Portland
Roadster Show, where it received Best in Class, Best Paint in the
custom category, Best Engine in the custom category, and at the
1997 Portland Roadster Show, where it received Best in Class and
Best Engine in the custom category.
