Vehicle Description
This matching-numbers 1957 Toyota Land Cruiser was restored to its
original standards by House of Cruisers in Miami, FL. It underwent
a full frame-off, nut-and-bolt, rotisserie restoration that
attended to both cosmetic and mechanical aspects. It is powered by
a refurbished matching-numbers 105hp, 3.8-liter F-type
overhead-valve 6-cylinder engine with the block number matching
that of the firewall tag. The engine is mated to its original
4-speed manual transmission and features rebuilt original drum
brakes, a new aluminized exhaust system by Vetusil and was fully
serviced and resealed. The car is equipped with OEM axles. Inside,
the seats are covered in brown leather upholstery, with matching
boots for the gear shift, transfer case selector and hand brake.
Custom mats protect the floors, and a pair of OEM replica straps
keep occupants in place. It features the original cluster and
nicely restored dash switches, an old Toyota original yellow jack,
the owner's manual, the original steering wheel, original Toyota
emblems in the front panels and hood, plus clean and original
chrome strips on the horizontal grille. It rolls on body-color
steel wheels fitted with fresh, period-correct Cooper Military
tires with new period-correct dog-dish hubcaps. Comes with the
original side-mounted spare wheel.
