This 1969 Camaro Pro-Street coupe was imported from the U.K., where
it was a very well-known drag and show car owned by renowned drag
racer Roger Cassidy. Presented with a detailed history, the car was
originally owned by Terry Gibbs, a member of the U.K. Drag Racing
Hall of Fame, who was known for racing and importing Camaros. Roger
Cassidy is a well-known drag racer. This coupe is powered by a
502ci HO Generation 5 Chevrolet big-block engine bored .030
oversize to 509ci, mated to a GM TH400 transmission built by Larry
Pollen with a 3000 rpm-stall torque converter and a Dana 60
posi-traction rear end with 3.56 gears. It has a GM steel crank;
Eagle H-beam connecting rods; JE forged pistons with 11.5:1
compression; GM rectangular port heads; a Doug Herbert roller "B"
grind cam; Herbert roller lifters, rockers and alpha springs; a
Holley Dominator carburetor; a Victor Junior intake system;
2.25-inch Headman headers; a Holley fuel pump; and an MSD 6AL
ignition with a nitrous controller. The Camaro is built on a
Chevrolet F- body, and the hood, doors and trunk are all
fiberglass. It is finished in BMW Orange paint from circa the
1970s. The front suspension has 90/10 adjustable front shocks with
rear two-way adjustable shocks. It also comes with two 250hp-rated
nitrous cheater plate kits. The wheels are Weld Pro Star units
