We have a special one for you today! This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS
is a genuine two-owner car, restored by the second owner nearly
fifteen years ago and still looking like new today. Its not often
you get a Camaro quite like this one, combining eye-popping
yellow-and-black aesthetics with mindblowing muscle car
performance. The very last year for the first-generation Camaro,
1969 brought a host of styling changes that are highly sought after
for collectors today because not only did they look great, they
only stuck around for the singular 1969 model year! All-new sheet
metal gave the car a substantially sportier look, with the "V"
canted grille, deeply inset headlights, new doors, new rear
quarterpanels and side vents all serving to make the car appear
lower, wider and more aggressive. The RS (Rally-Sport) Camaros
differed slightly, as they were more luxurious. They got a unique
grill design with hidden headlights and "RS" badging on the grill
and front quarterpanels, along with wood-grain trim on the interior
and additional vinyl top options! This example is powered by a
built 350 C.I. "Small Block" V8 breathing fire through an Edelbrock
4-barrel carburetor, backed up to the 3.73:1 "Posi-Traction" rear
axle through a Hurst-shifted 4-speed manual transmission. What
really sticks out on this RS is the color scheme, with correct
"Daytona Yellow" exterior paint complimented perfectly by the black
decal striping and vinyl top. That exterior color scheme even
extends to the interior, where unique yellow "Houndstooth" bucket
seats await the driver looking just as they did leaving the
assembly line! This '69 Camaro RS comes with a plethora of
performance and convenience options, including power steering,
power front disc brakes, a short-thow Hurst shifter, Hedman
headers, a working cowl-induction hood, a vintage-style AM/FM
digital radio, hideaway headlights, a heater + defroster, dual
chrome mirrors, seatbelts, and a mean-sounding Flowmaster dual
exhaust system. The car rides on some classic B.F. Goodrich RWL
tires on top of SS steel wheels for a factory-fresh look. This car
had a full rotisserie restoration, so it looks just as nice on the
bottom as it does on the top! This is something you don't see
everyday, and if you're looking for a 1969 Camaro or a rare color
combination of any kind, then this '69 may just be the one for
you.
