For Sale: 1971 Plymouth Duster in Cadillac, Michigan

Vehicle Description

1971 Plymouth Duster, Amber Sherwood metallic. Number matching 225ci slant six, three speed on the floor, 7 1/4 rear end. Manual steering and brakes. No A/C. New one barrel Holley carb. New alternator, battery, coil, 3 core aluminum radiator, and heater core. New exhaust. New upper ball joints, control arm bushings, strut rod bushings, upper and lower rubber stops, front wheel seals, front wheel bearings (inner and outer), and rear brake shoes. New shocks all around. Front end has not yet been aligned since new parts installed. New fuel tank and sender. Engine is said to have been rebuilt by previous owners. It is painted black instead of Mopar blue, and it does not smoke at all. Odometer showed 56k, but I suspect 156k. I recently had the speedometer head rebuilt. I had the odometer zeroed at that time. New tires on original rally wheels that I had sand blasted and repainted. New beauty rings. Interior is pretty nice. Previous owner changed color from chestnut to black. Dash and doors were professionally painted. New dash pad. New door and glass weatherstrips, door panels, arm rest pads, carpet, seat covers, and headliner. Headliner was not installed completely, as I believe the rear glass has to come out to finish it??? The windshield is new, thus front and sides of headliner are tight. Windshield trim was not reinstalled, but I have it. New package tray and trunk divider. New glove box liner and lock. No radio. Body is super solid. 3 of 4 rear quarter tips had rust, but all have been cut and welded new metal. Paint is nothing to look at, but your body man will like what he sees. Bumpers need re-chromed. Fenders are solid. The trunk looks good, only surface rust where water gets trapped under the mat. The spare tire well had some rust around the fuel tank bracket, so I had them both replaced. Fully welded, seam sealed, and undercoated. Interior floor and door jambs have been painted factory color, but unfortunately, they didn't mask the outside. Evidence of a pos
