1972 Dodge Challenger When you are describing cars constantly you
want to save some adjectives for the times you really need them.
Apparently I haven't done that because I don't have good enough
ones to set this one apart. It IS my new favorite of all that I
have listed though, without question, so buckle in... The Dodge
Challenger was a series of American "Pony" Muscle cars introduced
for the 1970 model year. The first generation Challenger was
introduced alongside its corporate cousin, the Plymouth Barracuda
to compete with Mercury and Pontiac in the pony car market, and was
offered in coupe, hardtop, and convertible body styles. These rear
wheel drive cars were available with a variety of inline six and V8
powerplants. They had model years just from '70-'74 for the first
gen, it came back from '78-'83 for the second gen and you can't
keep a good car down so it has been in production now from '08 to
today. So what's so special about this one? How about what ISN'T?
This 1972 Dodge Challenger has a 440 Cubic Inch V8 Big Block Mopar
beast under the hood putting power to the ground with a 727
Torqueflite snakeskin appearing wrapped transmission. Toxic Orange
exterior, new black leather interior with Challenger embroidered
into the headrests. And this paint job is next level. It has
blacked out grill, bumpers, trim around the windows. We just put a
new set of black rims on it to compliment the rest of the car as
well. Power steering, 4 wheel Wilwood disc brakes with drilled and
slotted rotors, Wilwood master cylinder and brake booster w/Hydro
Boost. Vintage Heat and Air, Dakota Digital Dash, Tilt steering,
March Pulleys w/ serpentine system, chrome alternator, Be Cool
radiator, set of headers and cut out exhaust with electronic
control to turn them on and off. The whole exhaust system is
stainless. The engine bay is highly detailed and done with
attention to detail that few are right down to billet hinges on the
hood. It has a kick ass audio system with JL Audio speakers and
subwoofer in the trunk custom built in. You can't go wrong with
this car. Starts, runs, drives great. Sounds as good as any car can
in our opinion and with the cut out exhaust you get to control that
sound from street car to hot rod sound. If you're reading this look
