Mechanical
This Corvette has a 350 cubic inch small block Chevy V8 engine
under the hood that looks great and is painted in Chevrolet orange
with factory components like the finned aluminum L82 valve covers,
cast iron exhausts, orange intake manifold, chrome ignition
shielding, black factory twin snorkel air cleaner assembly, and air
conditioning.
It's backed by a heavy-duty TH400 3-speed automatic driving the
stock Corvette rear end, which has highway-friendly gears inside
that make this Corvette an easy cruiser and 4-wheel power disc
brakes provide plenty of stopping power for this Vette.
The engine compartment is tidy and clean and our 1974 is perfect
for a Corvette you're going to drive and show on weekends since
there is nothing as reliable as a small block Chevy in a
Corvette.
The 4-wheel disc brakes are firm and it rolls on a set of Rally
wheels and black sidewall Potenza tires.
Interior
Black vinyl bucket seats are split by the factory center console
with the 4-speed shifter and woodgrain while you rock to an
aftermarket AM/FM radio with the T-Tops on or off.
The interior looks as it did as it left the factory and looks great
with the black door panels, black carpets, and the dash with
factory gauges and controls, air conditioning, as well as the black
factory Corvette steering wheel.
There is plenty of storage behind the seats in this C3 Corvettes.
The rear is carpeted with cubby holes which house the battery, and
anything else you need to carry with you. There is also room enough
for a suitcase or folding chairs for attending car shows in your
new classic.
Exterior
The Corvette we have is re-painted in black and looks great
showcasing the new for 1974 front and rear fiberglass bumpers.
Ours has the domed hood, L82 emblems, later model rear spoiler,
chrome side mirror, and the iconic Stingray emblems on each
side.
Conclusion
The black 1974 Corvette, like the one we have here at Skyway
Classics, was the start of a new era for Corvette and these 74-82
Vettes are climbing in value every day.
This Corvette looks great and it certainly is a collectable car you
should buy, drive, and enjoy.
