I am the 4th owner of this 1973 VW Karmann Ghia, named Grace. I found it on ClassicCars.com in Feb 2018. (I saved the original online posting.) Through Facebook, I was able to locate the 2nd owner who had the body restored and painted this Etna Blue. I completely disassembled Grace for respray to the same color and restored her with many new items purchased online, including a working original radio. I have all receipts for proof. The convertible top was restored by a local shop with specialization in this area. I also purchased the “birth” certificate from Shiftung AutoMuseum Volkswagen, again confirming matching numbers (see photos) including engine number to that of the original engine. This restoration became a hobby of mine. After countless hours, it’s a real joy to drive. The only reason why I’m parting ways with Grace is to move onto the next project. I had a lot of fun and gave this car a lot of love. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
