TOP-NOTCH C10 W/ 200 MILES ON BUILD! 6.2L L92 W/ GO FAST GOODIES &
4L80E, GR8
Even if you believe all trucks are created equal, there's no
denying you get something quite special when there has been the
level of investment that went into this 1968 Chevrolet C10. From
the slick paint to the custom leather interior, to the
fuel-injected 6.2L motor under the hood, this pickup has been
transformed from everyday hauler into a true dream machine.
The first thing you notice about this truck is the paint and body.
With barely 200 miles on the whole build. The Dark Aqua poly is a
great period correct color, and the deep luster it gives off
instantly identifies with its custom nature. It sparkles in all the
right places with an investment in new bumpers, crystal clear LED
headlights with, Chrome door handles, and large 20-inch Weld
wheels. Plus, there's a very cool slickness that comes from custom
elements like the lowered stance with QA1 suspension and moving the
gas cap to the truck bed. And speaking of the bed, the fresh and
clean lumber is a nice touch to this bad boy.
Inside this resto-mod, the restoration budget went to creating a
luxury car experience. You notice this immediately in the Snowden
black diamond stitch leather bench seat. The kind of bolstering to
make it feel like bucket seats. And best of all, the diamond
pattern in the supple cowhide will remind you of a Bentley. Plus,
the door panels, steering wheel, dash pad, and other details match
this in both color and quality. The dash is painted in an
exterior-matching Dark Aqua Poly, and it has been given the best in
subtle upgrades. For example, the stereo has the retro-style look,
but it's really a modern digital tuner with a Bluetooth connection.
Plus, the factory air conditioning controls now blow cold with
modern R134a. But the best treats are reserved just for the driver.
Your sport leather steering wheel is on a Flaming River tilt
column. That way you can get a terrific view of the upgraded Dakota
Digital gauge panel that now features a large speedo and tach. And
it all glows green to coordinate with the color of the truck.
Open the hood and you'll see where the good stuff is, starting with
a built L92 V8 (2008 Cadillac Escalade) topped by a Holley Hi-Ram
modular intake and fuel injection system. It's got a healthy cam,
billet fuel rails, a 102mm throttle body, and Holley terminator X
max ECU. It's all beautifully fitted and a serpentine accessory
drive system that powers modern drive accessories like the vintage
A/C. There's a big Dewitt aluminum radiator up front to keep it all
cool, and Speed Engineering long-tube headers feed into a custom
3-inch X-pipe dual exhaust with Borla Pro XS race mufflers for an
unmistakable sound that will surely scare the neighbors. The 4L80E
4-speed automatic overdrive transmission with a Circle D 3200 stall
convertor is aided with a shift kit and turns a new driveshaft
connected to a 12-bolt rear end with 3.73 gears, offering the best
of acceleration and cruising abilities. Power CPP 4-wheel disc
brakes, dropped spindles, tubular upper/lower control arms, fat
sway bars, and tubular trailing arms with QA1 coilovers on all four
corners give it that crouching stance and impressive handling on
the street. A professional tune means that it runs and drives like
a stocker but unleashes all the fury when you drop the pedal, a
remarkable achievement. And the 500HP estimate that we were given
we think is extremely conservative, simply because the motor alone
is 403HP stock, and this one is far from stock with all the
top-shelf performance parts that were added. The point is whether
you want to dominate the strip or the street, you'll surely
succeed. Polished Weld wheels and 255/40/20 front and 275/40/20
rear tires in back try to hook it all up and mostly succeed.
If you've taken a good look at this truck, you know it's something
special. Don't let the reasonable asking price fool you, there's a
huge pile of cash spent to make it reliable and streetable, and the
next kid in a warmed-over exotic won't even know what hit him. This
truck is heavily documented with purchase receipts, pictures of
off-frame restoration and instruction manuals. Call today!
