There's just something about an early 70's Mopar that looks fierce coming down the road and the 1971 Plymouth Duster is no exception. This no-nonsense A Body is cruise & street ready!
This garage kept, beautifully redone version has all the right stuff and has been with the current owner since 2016.
Drivetrain
A 360-cid topped with an Edelbrock 4bbl carb and long-tube headers is mated to a 727 TorqueFlite 3-speed auto and ending in a Sure-Grip 8.75 rear end. Fires right up with no smoke and settles into a low rumble through the hi-flow mufflers and true dual-exhaust with chrome tips. Engine compartment is tidy and well kept.
Exterior
Moving to the outside is a gorgeous, high gloss B5 Blue metallic paint job offset by white stripe decals. Chrome and brightwork shine well with no pitting or fading. The all-fiberglass AAR hood sports a fully functional "six-pack" styled hood scoop providing plenty of air to the V8. A rear Go-Wing, shark tooth grille and dual chrome side view mirrors finish off the look.
Chassis
Solid and clean with minimal patina with almost perfect floor pans. Stops adequately with front discs and rear drums. Suspension and steering components are tight atop good rubber with 205/65-15's up-front and 255/60-15 on the rear. Tires ride on 15" Magnum 500-style wheels with good chrome and all center caps.
Interior
The front high-back bench seat with fold down arm rest along with the rear seat are tastefully re-done in black vinyl with light gray accents. Black, low pile carpet with "Duster" floor mats and a light gray fabric headliner match the inside well. Windshield is clear with no scratches or chips and door/rear windows roll and vent as they should. Dash pad is very good with no cracks or fade.
Gauges & Driver Controls - Aftermarket items include; B&M StarShifter, Bosch Oil & Temp Gauges, SW Amp Gauge (not connected) & Sunpro tach (non-functional), Jensen AM/FM/Cassette w/ Kenwood 6x9's, GT Grant steering wheel, ignition kill switch, manual choke and 2 sets of keys. Factory gauges, switches and heater work as they should.
Recent service work includes a new battery, new fuel hoses, new rear brake line and hose.
Clean PA title and ready to go!
