This 1979 Ford F250 Custom is a really clean and solid truck with a
great look!! It spent its life in Colorado and Wyoming and it runs
and drives great and has some cool updates. The body on this F250
is super clean and solid. It was repainted in its original colors
of Candy Apple Red and Wimbledon White which is a great color
combination. This truck has all of the XLT trim and all of the trim
and chrome is still in really nice condition. The underside is also
clean and solid and we found no rust issues with this truck.
The interior is really nice and clean. It has newer carpet and
newer door panels and the seat was also reupholstered. It is a
really nice looking original style interior. The gauges are all
working except for the added tach gauge. The heat and heater fan
work, the horn works, and the wipers work. The headlights,
taillights, brake lights, and turn signals are also working.
Mechanically this truck is excellent! It runs and drives really
nice. The engine is the original 6.6L 400 V8 that runs strong with
no issues that we could find. The previous owner stated it was
rebuilt around 15,000 miles ago and based on everything we see and
how it runs we do believe it to be true. They added an Edelbrock
aluminum intake, Holley 4 Barrel Carb, and dual exhaust that sounds
great! The transmission is a newer 2F 5 Speed manual which is and
awesome addition to the truck. It shifts nice with a strong clutch.
It is mated to the Borg Warner Manual Transfer Case and the 4WD
works like it should. The transmission and transfer case are from a
later model Ford from the 90's. This is a great upgrade that gives
you an Overdrive. The rear axle is a Dana 60 with 4.10 gears and
the front axle is a Dana 44 with 4.10 gears. This is all sitting on
a nice set of factory wheels that are restored with newer Mickey
Thompson Baja Legend Tires size 285/75/16.
