Vehicle Description
One of only 909 Bright Aqua Corvettes built in 1995. LT1
V8/automatic. Nicely maintained, well documented, everything works.
Runs and drives like a Corvette should, very fast and fun but
civilized. Lots of fun for a reasonable price!First off, we should
note that Bright Aqua (and all turquoise paints) is extremely
difficult for digital cameras to render correctly. This car is not
blue as it might appear in the video, but Bright Aqua. We've
adjusted the photos slightly to make the color as accurate as
possible, but there are some after-effects that make the paint look
mottled. It is not-the paint is in excellent shape. This is just a
result of trying to get it to look right in a digital world. That
said, this car does look dynamite in person. We like Bright Aqua as
a color on Corvettes and it has aged well, giving the car a
sporting look that's entirely appropriate. It's also one of the
rarer colors you could get, so it should stand out just about
anywhere you go. It appears to be entirely original paint, and if
that's the case, it's just beautifully maintained with no signs of
accident damage and virtually zero nicks and scratches that you'd
expect after 30 years of fun. The doors close with the solid CLUNK
that you expect of a C4 and everything lines up just the way the
factory intended, and by 1995 they were pretty good at putting
these together. For many enthusiasts, the smoother nose and stylish
gills that make the '95s easy to spot are the most successful C4
look, and we can't argue with that. This car looks great from any
angle.Corvette interiors remain a great place to do the serious
business of driving, and once you've mastered the appropriate
maneuvers for getting into a C4, you'll find a comfortable and
functional cockpit. The black leather seats are highly adjustable
and all-day comfortable, and despite the age the leather remains in
fantastic condition. Same with the carpets and door panels, which
help to disguise the car's age. Almost everything was standard
equipment in a Corvette, including automatic climate control, power
windows, locks, mirrors, and seats, cruise control, and a tilt
steering column. This car is also equipped with Selective Ride
Control, sport bucket seats, and the 3.07 performance axle ratio,
as well as a great-sounding Delco/Bose entertainment system. The
factory digital/analog gauge cluster is actually effective in
communicating the vitals at a glance and covers everything from
speed to oil temperature, and all the instruments work correctly.
In fact, everything is working on this car, a testament to the
careful maintenance it's had over its lifetime. The automatic
transmission shouldn't be considered a liability, as it makes the
C4 Corvette one of the absolute best point-and-shoot machines you
can buy and the tall overdrive makes long highway drives
effortless. Monogrammed floor mats help brighten up the interior,
and there's a color-matched removable top with the original tools
in the center console for alfresco motoring. There's also decent
storage under the rear hatch, making the Corvette a favorite for
road trips. The LT1 was the final iteration of the first generation
350 cubic inch V8, making a nice, round 300 horsepower and 340
lb.-ft. of torque. It's wonderfully flexible and provides plenty of
grunt at any speed, and the C4 is still a legitimately fast sports
car. It's also bulletproof reliable and simple to service, with
extensive aftermarket support to keep it in top health. This one
remains 100% stock, which is how you want to buy your second-hand
Corvette, and there's no evidence that it has ever been raced or
abused. It's most recent long-term owner is a Corvette enthusiast
with extensive knowledge of these cars, so it has been tuned and
maintained properly and runs right today. Thanks to fuel injection
and computer controls, it starts instantly, idles properly, and
generally goes about its business without any fuss. But it's always
ready to serve up a big helping of horsepower when needed and even
with the performance axle ratio, it still knocks down 20+ MPG on
the highway-nice! The transmission's shifts are crisp and
appropriate, and the adjustable suspension does a great job of
giving you the best of both worlds: a smooth ride when you're
cruising and a buttoned-down feel when you need to hustle. Brakes
are immensely powerful, as with all Corvettes, and the exhaust is
stock, so it sounds like it should. Obviously rust is a non-issue
on a fiberglass car, and all the usual trouble areas are completely
solid. Beautiful 17-inch alloy wheels are unmarked and carry recent
255/45/17 front and 285/40/17 rear Continental performance
radials.Documentation includes the original owner's manuals and
case, factory shop manual, window sticker, build sheet, and
advertising brochures. The C4 remains the biggest bang for the buck
in the automotive world. They're stylish, fast, and comfortable,
all for the price of a used Kia. Corvette events are some of the
best car-related activities you can attend, and this beautiful
Bright Aqua coupe is welcome at almost all of them. Look at the
