Vehicle Description
This is a beautiful and pretty rare, 1968 Pontiac Catalina Ventura
Convertible. They only produced less than 8,000 convertibles in the
whole Pontiac line in 1968 and even fewer Catalina Ventura
convertibles. This Catalina has a 400 cu. in V8 and a Turbo 400
automatic transmission. The engine was rebuilt back in 2015 with
only a few thousand miles on the engine since the rebuild. The
original carb was just rebuilt and it starts up and runs like a
top. The transmission shifts like it should. The brakes have all
been checked as well. The car has had one repaint to Solar Red back
in 2016. Originally, it was Mayfair Maize. I think the coolest
thing is the hood mounted tachometer! A very rare option to find.
It has power steering, power brakes and power windows too! The
passenger side rear quarter window isn't working at the moment, the
owner plans on getting that repaired. The power convertible top
works great! The hydraulic pump and cylinders were all replaced.
The original hubcaps are pretty rare as well especially in this
condition. The chrome is good but the front bumper should probably
be rechromed. The glass is beautiful with no cracks or chips. The
interior is nice only needing a seem repair on the driver's seat.
This 1968 Catalina Ventura would make a very nice Driver quality
cruiser with just a little TLC. You definitely don't see too many
of these driving around or even at a car show. Power top not
working Power windows not working. Please Note The Following
