Vehicle Description
The 2002 Chevrolet Camaro SS 35th Anniversary delivers all the best
of the Camaro in one coupe. After all, this was the final year for
the fourth generation and the car's 35th anniversary. Plus, this
has low mileage, a loaded interior, T-tops, and a six-speed, and
the V8 was enhanced with components from the masters at SLP.
Averaging only about 1,300 miles annually instantly tells you this
car has been treated with respect all its life this far. It means
the factory Bright Red paint knows how to live up to its name. And
the true hallmark of these is the cool graphics that are part of
the racing stripes. After all, we know the best Camaros get
parallel strips of contrasting color, but they do so much more. By
framing the SS-specific hood scoop exclusive SS spoiler and
integrating checkered flags, this final-year 4th-gen ensures it
will always be distinct even in a crowd of Camaros. Large polished
exhaust tips, deeply tinted windows, and special 17-inch alloys
make sure this looks mean. And excellent body panels make sure this
one keeps that slippery shape that makes this generation so
distinct.
The interior continues this car's feeling of less use and good
care. There is special 35th Anniversary SS details like the
embroidered headrests and a dash plaque, but the most distinctive
part may be the seats. The black and gray to-tone is a tasteful
style finished in supple leather. It makes it easy to get quite
comfy in this modern collectible. So do features like power
windows, power locks, keyless entry/alarm, dual airbags, cruise
control, tilt wheel, and a Monsoon premium AM/FM/CD stereo. The
T-tops have storage racks in the trunk, and with cold-blowing air
conditioning, you can enjoy the roof-out feeling even on the
hottest summer days. We bet you'll love adding to the lo odometer.
A power driver's seat, tilt steering column, full gauges, and Hurst
shifter makes for a commanding driver.
The SS was the top-dog Camaro that came from Chevrolet at the time.
The LS1 under the hood was shared with the Corvette. They tried to
keep the power from surpassing the C5, but the folks at SLP also
knew how to upgrade you past Bowling Green. So this one has an SLP
air intake, SLP headers, and an SLP Loudmouth exhaust system. It
gives you upgraded power, and the desirable six-speed manual
transmission puts the muscle firmly in your control. And speaking
of control, four-wheel disc brakes w/ABS, power steering, sway bars
front & rear, and grippy ZR-rated tires deliver a terrific sports
car package.
The sale comes complete with the dealer invoice and owner's manual.
