1947 Mercury Coupe Chop Top *ALL STEEL BODY CAR / NO FIBERGLASS!!!
This incredibly stunning and lowered 1947 Mercury Coupe sits on a Ford Mustang 2 Front End for an awesome Street Rod look. - It's the perfect chop job giving this coupe an aggressive look without losing its refinement and classic style. Shaved door handles and frenched taillights ad to the exterior. The lowered frame and undercarriage are sealed and painted black to help prevent any rust. This coupe has been upgraded to 12 volt wiring system. and complete with Power windows, Power trunk, and Power driver's seat. While the driver's seat shows no wear, the left bolstering does need to be replaced and a replacement bolstering does come with the vehicle. An Ididit aluminum tilt steering column with new steering shaft help add to the comfortable drive when steering this awesome ride. Added Oil, temp, voltmeter and gas gauge work, but unfortunately the REO speedo does not. Powered by an iconic and original Mercury Flathead V8 with MSD Pro Billet distributor, wires, and box, along with a Navarro Tri-power intake means this is classic Street Rod power, NO RESTOMOD HERE!!! The original 3 speed manual trans shifts smooth and easy with no grinds or popping out of gear. The clutch is also light and easy. A new gas tank was installed. Not only does this car run and drive great but its been extensively maintained and well kept in a heated and cooled garage. Car is not perfect, but very nice and it is one of a kind with many cool subtle modifications.
*NOTE: The mileage since restoration and number of owners is unknown. The engine is said to be a complete rebuild with cylinder honing, new pistons, new seals, and new all new fluids changed. Comes with many extra parts, including under dash A/C control box (NOT FULL AC UNIT).
