Vehicle Description
What do you get when you combine the timeless aesthetics of one of
America's pre-eminent blue collar heroes with a roster of some of
the best performance hardware money can buy? Well, you get a highly
polished workhorse that shatters preconceptions, expectations and
urbane enthusiasts' egos 'like a rock'! Mixing the universal appeal
of all-American style with the road going prowess of a
well-massaged custom, this brutally dapper Square Body is one super
cool resto-mod. What's better: you can own and drive this exclusive
head turner for a fraction of the money and time it takes to
complete a ground-up build. Are you an anxious buyer who's tired of
the 'garage furniture' culture that seems to pervade the classic
car hobby? This sweet Chevy is one of the coolest road-ready hot
rods your money can buy!
IT'S COOL TO BE SQUARE
Wrapping choice resto-mod style around an all-American profile,
this super clean Chevy benefitted from a detailed, frame-off
restoration that marries solid sheetmetal with dynamic Metallic Red
two-stage. And, as you can tell from our high resolution photos,
that glossy sheen lays excellent groundwork for an array of subtle
yet purposeful customization. At the front of the truck, a polished
bumper frames a stainless-trimmed aftermarket grille, which centers
polished bars between modern headlights, polished headlight bezels
and modern parking lamps. Above that glitz, a steel Cowl Induction
Hood fronts muted wipers, which clear a crisp greenhouse that's
finished with stainless drip rails and tinted vent visors. That
dome caps a fully debadged fuselage, which follows modern marker
lamps with factory mirrors, factory handles and fresh Body Side
Trim. At the center of the truck, a tinted sliding window shades a
body-matched bed. And at the back of that bed, a second polished
bumper frames traditional taillights and a tasteful, satin-trimmed
tailgate that's spiced with a chrome handle.
FOUR, FIVE AND FOUR
Pop this pickup's hood and you'll find 454 cubic inches of dressed
Chevy big block that looks almost as good as it sounds! At the top
of that monster mill, a Chevrolet Orange air cleaner centers a
trick bowtie spinner on four barrels of coated carburetor that are
juiced by polished lines and monitored by a small Marshall pressure
gauge. That carb feeds a lightweight Edelbrock RPM Air Gap intake,
which feeds iron, Chevrolet Orange heads. At the back of that
intake, a hot HEI distributor sequences fire through loomed Top
Street Performance Wires. Spent gases roar through ceramic-coated
Hooker Competition headers. A polished Concept One serpentine drive
spins a polished water pump behind modern power steering, a
polished AC compressor and a polished Powermaster alternator. A
polished aluminum radiator fronts a duo of electric puller fans.
And naturally, the legendary mill features first rate ancillaries
like billet breathers, a polished steering reservoir and
color-keyed Proform valve covers.
ROLLING TALL
Bottom-side, a tough 700R4 4-speed hangs a finned TCI pan in front
of a requisite 10-bolt axle and a proven New Process transfer case.
That clean pumpkin pushes a fully stripped and fully painted frame,
which rides a rebuilt factory suspension that's fitted with factory
power steering and an impressive Rough Country lift. Stops come
courtesy of power assisted discs, which are augmented with a
quality Wilwood master cylinder and a handy Wilwood proportioning
valve. Exhaust floats from the aforementioned headers into
aluminized pipes, which center electronic cutouts in front of
rowdy, dual-chamber mufflers and polished stainless tips.
Everything rolls on Chevy Truck Rally Wheels, which spin
35x12.50R15 Kanati Mud Hog M/Ts around Rugged Ridge hubs. And,
aesthetically, the bottom of this K10 is every bit as impressive as
its straight body and hearty engine!
SIMPLY STYLISH
Between the doors, a customized Silverado interior provides a
delightfully simplistic driving experience. The fully painted
cockpit kicks off with tight Black vinyl that dresses a broad bench
seat. That throne faces a straight, Silverado-spec dash, which
wraps satin trim around bright Dakota Digital telemetry, Vintage
Air climate control and Bluetooth-capable Alpine audio. The driver
spins a factory steering wheel around a tilting column. And all
that retro goodness rides between clean carpet, a sculpted
headliner and Silverado-spec side panels that front power-operated
windows.
A nicely finished classic that was built to be driven AND seen,
this rowdy Chevy mixes top notch components with killer personality
and awesome curb appeal. Looking for a road ready hot rod that's
guaranteed to draw a crowd wherever you go? Your search is
officially over!
