Vehicle Description
1963 Land Rover Santana - Rare Spanish Santana Model - Fully
Restored - 2.25L 4 Cylinder - 4 Speed Manual Transmission - 4x4 -
Green With White Top - Black Interior Early Land Rovers are among
the vehicles that may spring to mind when thinking of vehicles
driving in the most rugged conditions. Creeping through the jungle,
traveling through desert areas, and even through snowy conditions
are where Land Rovers excel. The Land Rover has become synonymous
with vehicles to consider when planning a trip through tough
terrain. We are excited to offer this Land Rover Series IIA
Santana. It's a vehicle that would blend right in, if traveling
through a jungle or any green area. We're not sure if this vehicle
was driven off road at any point in its life, but it certainly has
not been driven through tough terrain since the restoration. This
Rover is finished in a beautiful shade of green with a white hard
top and white wheels. The paint is even and glossy on both the body
and the hard top. A roof rack, ladder, jerry can, mesh grille,
winch, side steps, and lockable gas cap are a few exterior
highlights. A spare tire on the hood, or bonnet as it's known
across the pond, is an unmistakable Land Rover attribute. The
interior of this classic Land Rover is pretty spartan, but has been
restored nicely. Black reupholstered seats, matching black rear
upholstered door card, lap belts, a new headliner, and floor mat
for the rear seating area are a few interior highlights. Mounted at
the middle of the dash are a pair of gauges. One is a Jaeger
speedometer which reads in miles per hour, the other is a
combination of a fuel gauge and a voltmeter. Simple ventilation
levers which control the ventilation doors at the base of the
windshield are much different than the modern Land Rover multi-zone
climate control systems which we have become so used to. On the
floor are a hand brake lever, shifter, and transfer case selector
lever. In a tidy engine bay is an Inline 4 cylinder gasoline engine
mated to a 4 speed manual transmission. Like the rest of the
vehicle, the underside of the vehicle was restored. The underside
shows well with surface oxidation evident on a few ancillary parts.
This classic Land Rover is an example of a perennial favorite for
those looking for a vehicle to tackle tough terrain, or a vehicle
to cruise around town in. It's rugged, and is among the Land Rovers
which seem to hold their value well. Like the Toyota FJ40,
collectors are looking for classic Land Rovers like this one. Make
some room in your collection for an eye-catching classic. Please
call if interested or e-mail with specific questions. Thanks for
looking.
