Here we have a 1965 Dodge Coronet 500 Convertible for sale. This is
factory 330 HP 383 Big Block car that is done in its
original color combo with lots of options. 1965 was the
reintroduction year for the Coronet and what better way to equip it
than with a Drop Top and Big Block. It features the original 383
Big Block and is believed to be only a 3-owner car with
documentation back to the 70's. From our research it's believed
there were only around 400 of the Coronet 500 Drop Tops offered
with the 383 making this a stunning collector. In the paragraphs to
follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior,
and driveline of this Dodge but first we would like to tell you a
little about us.

We will start off with the exterior of this Coronet 500. The body
on this car is in phenomenal condition and it's clear that the
previous owners took excellent care of it. All the gaps look
excellent on it, and the hood, doors, and trunk all open and close
with a great fit. It's been repainted in the factory optioned
Medium Blue paint that has been polished to a gorgeous finish. The
paint lays on a straight body with gorgeous body lines and styling
that are iconic to this reintroduction year for the Coronet. We can
see that all the chrome and stainless on it has a brilliant finish
and the fit is even more impressive. The side stainless flows
flawlessly from the front to rear and the trunk stainless is
stunning. This is a factory Power Top Convertible that has had a
new top installed, but it was done in the factory option of Blue
that compliments the paint perfectly. To finish off the look it's
sitting on the factory style wheels with the correct Spinner Style
Hub Cap along with White Line Tires.
Next, we will look at the interior. On the inside it follows suite
with the exterior as it done in the factory blue option as well.
This is also having a factory bucket seat and console car. It also
came factory with the Power Windows. We believe a lot of this
interior is original to this car and is in phenomenal condition for
its age. The seat covers are done in the White and Blue that
provided a beautiful compliment to the exterior and it also has the
matching white boot for when the top is down. All the door panels
look original and are in great condition and feature the Power
Windows. Looking at the dash you'll appreciate how timeless the
design is. The stainless accents look excellent, and the gauges are
beautiful along with the factory steering wheel. Inside the trunk
is all rock solid with all the trunk pan looking excellent. It does
have the trunk mat along with spare and jack.
Finally, we will get to the driveline of this Dodge. Under the hood
it's powered by the Original 383 engine that is detailed just like
the way it would have been when coming off the showroom floor. It
mated to the correct 727 Automatic Trans and 8 " Rear End. The 383
is set up with the Edelbrock Intake and Edelbrock 650 Carb that's
dressed in the 383 Magnum Air Cleaner. This Coronet 500 comes with
Power Steering along with Power Brakes with Disc on the front. For
exhaust it has manifolds with dual pipes and Dynomax Mufflers. When
you look under this Dodge its clear that it has always been very
well cared for. It's a unibody car with no signs of abuse or
damage. All the floor and trunk pans are original and still show
the factory under coating. The gas tank has been replaced along
with the fuel lines. Under the front all the suspension looks
excellent with the bushings and ball joints appearing to have been
replaced. On the highway this is a sweet driving classic. Don't
miss this gorgeous muscle car that represents the start of an
infamous era in American Car History.
