beneficiary of a detailed, ground-up restoration that wraps
straight and solid sheetmetal in brilliant blue two-stage and
handsome Rally Stripes. At the front of that svelte pigment, a
bright bumper guards a trick Rally Sport grille, which centers
delightfully Mid Century branding between clear marker lamps and
electric headlight doors. At the top of that grille, a shaved
header leads a familiar Cowl Induction Hood, which fronts a
stainless-trimmed greenhouse that's cleared by polished RainGear
wipers. That glass, reflected in a stylish bowtie mirror, is
stacked on factory door handles, correct Rally Sport rocker shields
and subtle "rs" fender emblems. And at the back of the car, a
Gunmetal Gray valance hangs a billet fuel filler and sequential LED
taillights between Rally Sport reverse lamps, a second bright
bumper and a traditional D80 spoiler.
STROKED SMALL BLOCK
Gaze into this Chevy's smooth engine bay and you'll find 421 cubic
inches of small block fury that, thanks to spry Holley Sniper fuel
injection, is just as comfortable cruising country roads as it is
lining up at late night stoplights! Top dead center, a coated
throttle body funnels wind from a billet air cleaner to a polished
intake that's finished with a billet water neck. At the sides of
that plane, cast iron heads anchor body-matched Proform valve
covers under billet bowtie breathers. A hot points distributor
sequences sparks through loomed MSD Super Conductor plug wires.
Below those wires, ceramic-coated headers funnel spent gases into
large-diameter, true-dual exhaust. At the front of those tubes, a
polished Billet Specialties V-Trac accessory drive spins a polished
alternator, a polished AC compressor and a quality Edelbrock water
pump in front of an Edelbrock-capped gear drive. A dressed core
support anchors a big aluminum radiator in front of a large SPAL
puller fan. And naturally, the car's custom-finished engine bay
features choice detailing like polished tanks, a Powermaster
starter, coated hood hardware and a premium Baer master
cylinder.
STREET OR SHOW
Take a gander under this awesome F-Body and you'll find a fully
detailed chassis that mixes new age technology with old school
durability. Solid floorpans wear clean, Satin Black undercoating.
At the center of those floors, a tough 200R4 4-speed makes
excellent use of a tough 9-inch axle, which spins big, 3.70 gears.
Stopping is a cinch thanks to color-keyed Baer calipers, which push
24 pistons against 14-inch drilled and slotted rotors.
Power-assisted turns are greatly enhanced by a tidy AGR gearbox.
Those cogs lead a thick Hotchkis sway bar and sturdy subframe
connectors. At the back of the car, a Detroit Speed QUADRALink
strings quality JRi coil-overs and a serious Detroit Speed sway bar
under quality mini tubs. Exhaust is channeled through three-inch
pipes, which swirl sweet rumbles through dual-chamber Flowmaster
mufflers. And torque melts the pavement thanks to handsome
Forgeline GT3Cs, which spin 245/40R18 Nitto Invos in front of
325/30ZR19 Nitto Invos.
SPEAKING OF HANDSOME
Behind the car's solid-closing doors you'll find a lightly
customized interior that provides just the right amount of classic
flash! Front and center, a traditional dash hangs subtle Dakota
Digital telemetry beside controls for Vintage Air conditioning and
Custom Autosound audio that bumps big JL Audio speakers. A factory
console slides a curved Shifter on fade-free carpet. Factory bucket
seats, fitted with a modern rendition of Black Houndstooth
upholstery, look great next to Deluxe side panels. The driver spins
