Vehicle Description
Such a well-presented vintage wagon is always in demand. After all,
this 1973 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser wagon is a distinct and loaded
classic. That means everything you want is in place, including the
cool electronic tailgate, air-conditioned eight-person interior,
and its original big Rocket V8.
There's an irresistible kind of style to this wagon. Emerald Green
is the factory-correct color, and it has been given a respray later
in life to have a good mix of a nice shine but a mature/classic
attitude. So it goes well with the wood paneling that may even be
original to the wagon. So it's distinctive while still being both
vintage and road-ready. Big chrome bumpers, wire wheel covers,
whitewall tires, a luggage rack, and fender skirts make for a
terrifically detailed style. But your favorite classic piece will
likely be the disappearing tailgate. These premium GM wagons were
known for making jaws drop when you turn the rear key lock, and the
glass would disappear into the roof while the tailgate
simultaneously disappeared into the body.
Inside is a mostly original interior that looks fantastic. Even the
details are correct, right down to the storage well with jack
instructions. You get three rows of button-top saddle brown
seating. While both rear rows will fold flat for the ultimate
tailgater, this is so big, you even have storage when all of them
are up! The Custom Cruiser was an expensive Olds, and so you know
it's full of luxury options such as power windows, a tilt steering
column, power locks, and a power seat. There's plenty of great
wood-like trim to coordinate with the exterior, especially on the
dash and steering wheel. In fact, that wraparound display is one of
the interior's coolest features. After all, no matter how many
people are with you, this feels like a personal cruiser with all
the major controls right at the driver's fingertips. This includes
the cold-blowing R134a air conditioning, an upgraded AM/FM/CD radio
with Bluetooth, and even remote controls for that cool
tailgate.
Under the hood is the ideal motor for a classic like this. You want
to be able to move this big wagon with proper authority, and so you
have Oldsmobile's 455 cubic-inch big block. The V8 inhales deeply
with an upgraded four-barrel carburetor. It exhales with added
power and plenty of authority as headers feed a newer stainless
dual exhaust. The TH400 three-speed automatic transmission is the
right one to handle big muscle while also being an easy cruiser. So
with other features like power steering, power brakes with front
discs, and modern tread behind the classic whitewall style, this is
the right choice for those who like to drive their classics.
A well-preserved classic wagon is hard to find. So when one looks
this good, offers this much luxury, and is priced so right, you
know you need to hurry to take it home. Call today!!!
