Vehicle Description
1999 Mazda Miata MX-5
Once upon a time, sports cars roamed the earth, and they were
hyperhip. No one back then would have believed a sports car could
have the "start every day till six digits show on the odometer"
reliability that we take for granted today, along with ache-free
seats, toasty heaters, and side glass that rises at the touch of a
button. Yet those imagined sports cars were to be exactly like this
Miata-crazy fun to drive, frisky and zingy and quick to the touch.
A sports car must have this essential zest, and the Miata captures
it better than anything else on the road. Thx to Car and Driver for
this intro
For consignment, a 1999 Miata in MX-5 trimmings. No more hidden
head lighting, just pure unadulterated fun with some luxury thrown
in. That being leather seats, AC, cruise control, power windows,
power brakes, power steering and a limited slip differential. And
it starts up without effort reliably, also BONUS..it's a BLAST to
drive!
Exterior
Original factory Highlight Silver Metallic bathes the straight
aligned, curvy steel sculpted aero design exterior. Gaps are well
minded, and there is a tan colored canvas top to put up and down
depending on your mood. This top is also in excellent condition,
along with the exterior paint. Below the open headlights is an air
dam in front and a spoiler in back. All nicely rounded over corners
to carve road corners with style and speed. Hold on to the Jesus
bar! Curved oval rounded tail lighting melts into the bodywork on
back, and nearly invisible rear bumper rides below. Sporty 5 spoke
wheels are in all 4 corners. Snappy!
Interior
Smoothly sculpted door panels are light tan vinyl with molded
armrest and storage tray seamlessly below the rest. A black panel
is in the upper corner next to the A pillar and houses the actuator
and stereo speaker. High back tan leather chairs have a center
console dividing them, and this eventually rises to the dash where
we blow fast the shift lever climate controls and kick ass stereo
system with a Bose AM/FM/Cassette/and CD capabilities. A black dash
top houses round vents and a curved instrument panel in front of
the driver. Dash lowers have some tan accenting which is mildly
textured. Tan carpeting floods the floors and is nice and clean. A
tan tonneau covering hides everything about the top, save for the
fact that having one is totally cool (in many ways!!). Also lest I
forget, a Nardi leather wrapped rally steering wheel.
Drivetrain
Under the hood is a peppy 1.8 L I-4 cylinder mill. This sports EFI
and a 5 speed manual overdrive transmission, as any self respecting
sports car knows it would and should have. On the back is a 4.30
Torsen limited slip differential.
Undercarriage
Rust free and slight corrosion if anything is just a bit noticeable
but totally unremarkable. Independent Macpherson strut suspension
is on all 4 corners as are power disc brakes.
Drive-Ability
Runs and stops great with all working, there, I gave it to you
straight which is something this car does but would prefer to do
otherwise! All functions work swimmingly.
An adult owned low mileage, (48K), is offered with service records,
factory sticker, owners manual, clean CarFax and Pa title in
sellers name. Always garage kept, and put away nicely for the next
play date just like any favorite toy. G'nite, sleep tight!
