Vehicle Description
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this 1964 Ford Galaxie
Convertible for your consideration. Power comes from the 223ci
"Mileage Maker" inline-6 motor that routes power to the rear wheels
through a three-speed manual transmission with "3-on-the-tree"
column shifter.
1964 was the final year of this body style and it came with an
altered interior trim and a more sculpted exterior. The exterior
changes were made for a more aerodynamic car for use in NASCAR.
Finished in a Rangoon Red exterior over a red vinyl interior, this
car has all the right looks. The previously mentioned sculpted
exterior makes for a gorgeous car that is a head turner from every
angle. Ford offered the Galaxie in a number of different body
styles with the example offered here being a convertible. The white
soft top is in good condition and complements the Rangoon Red
exterior nicely.
Ford Motor Company used names for cars that would spark interest
during the big space race. With names like Comet, Meteor, Falcon,
Thunderbird, the name "Galaxie" was a perfect fit for the full size
car. The Galaxie was produced from 1959 to 1974. The Ford Galaxie
was one of the most popular full size automobiles of its time and
came in a variety of trims, body styles and engine options. Please
call or email with any questions or for additional information.
