For Sale: 1936 Oldsmobile F36 in Lake Hiawatha, New Jersey
Zoom is very proud to present this incredibly restored, original
Oldsmobile F-Series coupe in near pristine condition. As the
pictures show, the owner wanted to bring this car to it's original
glory and not a modded-up custom or hot rod. Being the last year
Oldsmobile offered a wooden body frame, this car has an incredible
ride and is equipped with an L-head six-cylinder engine with a 213
cubic-inch displacement for 90 horsepower. This was mated to a 3
speed manual on-the-floor. The wheelbase measures 115-inches and
has an overall length of nearly 189 inches. With only 2800 being
made, this Olds is an extremely rare example of a true American
automotive classic. With the F-36, the finer points that Oldsmobile
tried to hammer home with prospective buyers were "Fisher No Draft
Ventilation," solid steel turret-top bodies, standard safety glass,
Knee-Action suspension, ride stabilizer, "All-Silent Shifting",
aluminum pistons, rifle-drilled connecting rods, and interior
amenities like door arm rests, ash trays, and vent windows.
Oldsmobile also offered hydraulic brakes for the first time in
1935, so handling and braking are surprisingly modern compared to,
say, a '36 Ford. The car runs as good as it looks starting,
shifting, and stopping flawlessly. This showpiece is currently
being garaged in Altamont, NY. Call Chris @ (646) 866-3461 for
information and to set up an in-person or virtual viewing.
