Vehicle Description
Zoom Classic Cars presents this beautiful mid-engine Rover MG F
1.8i convertible in Charcoal Black with black leather interior. The
MG F was designed by Rover Group during the period it was owned by
British Aerospace and was brought to market after the business had
been sold to BMW - so it can accurately be said that this is the
last true MG ever made. The MGF was renowned for its excellent
performance (0-60 in 8.5s), approachable price tag, and excellent
fuel economy (24 city, 43 hwy, 31 combined). The car is powered by
a 1.8i K-Series 16 valve Inline-4 for 120hp with top speed of 123
mph and mated to a manual 5 speed transmission. An interesting
feature of the F was its "Hydragas" suspension - a system employing
interconnected fluid and gas displacers (replacing conventional
steel springs) which provided a surprisingly compliant ride but
which could be tuned to provide excellent handling characteristics.
This car was registered new in the Netherlands, brought stateside,
and now has a clean NJ title where it currently resides. The car is
in excellent condition, runs like new, and is a blast to drive,
note the only flaw being a very small indent on one of the panels,
see pic. Features and upgrades include: new rear window - newly
upholstered black leather seats - custom alloy shifter - new
leather shift & handbrake gaiters - custom alloy center console
trim - Sony Bluetooth stereo with Panasonic sound system -
recovered door cards - KPH to MPH converter on sun visor. Note this
car is not equipped with an AC. As the MGF's rivals (Mazda MX5 &
Lotus Elan) have skyrocketed in price lately, you'll never see this
type of performance at such a low price again. The MGF's are sure
to be going up in value soon, so call Chris @ (646) 866-3461 for
more information on this rare, handsome, and incredibly fun to
drive little beauty!
