military Dodge WC Series, and was noted as the first series of mass

options were also offered. North American sales of the military
derived Power Wagon ended in 1968, but production for export
continued until 1978 This custom pickup is built from a 1941 Dodge
WC Command Car 44 chassis topped with a 1946 Power Wagon pickup
body and bed, and it is finished in beautiful gloss black paint
over a black leather interior. Power is provided by a late-1940s
DeSoto 236ci inline-six paired with a four-speed manual
transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Additional equipment
includes a custom chrome grille guard, aftermarket turn signals, a
custom steering wheel, an aluminum radiator, a stainless fuel tank,
and 16? steel wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires. The
interior was refurbished during the build and features black
leather upholstery on the bench seat and door panels, a matching
black headliner, and a stained wood floor panel. A 12-volt wiring
harness is fitted and turn signals with a column-mounted chrome
switch were added along with replacement switches for the exterior
and interior lights. A custom three-spoke steering wheel fronts
factory-style instrumentation consisting of an 80-mph speedometer
and gauges for water temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and
amperage. This WC Command Car 4x4 is a stunning example that has
been beautifully restored, ready to be enjoyed by the next
