1941 Chevrolet Deluxe Town Sedan For SaleIn 1941 Chevrolet began
producing what would become the volume sales leader for the decade.
A comfortable ride with room for a family was the choice for the
modern household. This special deluxe town sedan would eventually
become a 50th birthday gift to NFL Hall-of-Famer Gale Sayers from
his wife, Mrs. Ardythe E Sayers.
Gale Sayers was known as the Kansas Comet, running back of the
Chicago Bears; He was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 1977.
He was also immortalized through the silver screen documentary
Brian's Song about the trials, tribulations and friendship between
him and teammate Brian Piccalo.
This pre-war classic is equipped with a 3-speed manual and the
in-line six power plant; it drives as smooth as butter! The car
also has a personalized Chicago Bears floor mats and an autographed
football.
This car has been carefully kept since it's restoration. After 22
years of ownership and never seeing weather, the paint is still
mirror-like! The carpet and upholstery are untarnished and soft.
There is a radio with remote installed in the glove box.
Here's a fun article on the car from Old Cars
Weekly.
