1970 Chevrolet Nova - 383ci V8 - Aluminum Heads - Stainless Exhaust
- Turbo 400 Automatic Transmission - B&M Shifter - Disc Brakes
- Autometer Gauges - Ford 9 Rear End - Blue Over Black Interior The
1970 Chevrolet Nova featured here is a classic built Hot Rod. This
clean build is well sorted and runs strong and looks fantastic. The
custom Blue Metallic finish is professionally applied over well
implemented body work and has been polished to a deep luster. The
front and rear bumpers have been re-chromed, and all
stainless-steel trim and grille work have been either restored or
replaced with new parts to shine brightly. Super Sport emblems have
been placed on the front grille and rear tail panel treatment and a
steel cowl induction hood has been installed. Inside the cabin is
pure business. An aftermarket 4 spoke faux leather wrapped aluminum
steering wheel frames the custom AutoMeter Dash Panel filled with
full instrumentation including, speedometer, tachometer, oil
pressure, temperature, voltmeter, and fuel gauge. Gear selection is
handled by a floor mounted B&M Pro Ratchet Shifter and a dash
mounted shift light is right at eye level to help you hit those
shift points at just the right time. The black interior has been
completely restored with new carpet, headliner, seat upholstery,
door panels and dash pad. The trunk is clean and restored including
new vinyl trunk mat. This Nova left the Willow Run plant in
Southeast Michigan originally as a V8 however now a 383 bored and
stroked V8 motor has since been placed between the frame rails.
This motor has been topped with a Weber carburetor with electric
choke and Performer aluminum manifold fed by a dual inlet Spectra
polished aluminum air intake. A set of Edelbrock aluminum heads cap
the combustion chambers and an MSD electronic ignition lights the
fuel mixture. The spent gases flow into ceramic coated headers that
flow through a 2.5 dual exhaust system with H pipe and rear
transverse mounted cross flow chambered muffler. The engine
compartment is well detailed and features finned aluminum valve
covers, chrome pulley belts and stainless coolant hose covering to
add some shine under the hood. This hot set up is kept cool with a
custom aluminum radiator and electric fan. The wiring system has
been completely rewired from bumper to bumper using a Painless
Wiring kit. The underbody has been completely gone through with a
rebuilt front suspension and steering that is power assisted. A
brand-new complete power assisted four-wheel disc brake system was
installed along with all new fuel and brake lines. The floorboards
and frame rails are clean and free of any rust with no indications
of any collision repair. Subframe rigidity has reinforced with
subframe connectors, and a set of traction bars prevent spring wind
up under hard acceleration from a start keeping the tires firmly
planted on the pavement. Power is transferred from the V8
powerplant through a GM400 Turbo-hydramatic 3 speed automatic
transmission to a custom Ford 9 rear differential. The combination
rolls on a set of BF Goodrich T/A radial tires mounted on American
Racing Torg Thrust 5 spoke 15 X 7 polished alloy wheels. This
classic hot rod has been completely rebuilt and restored and is
turn-key ready to cruise your hometown main drag or cruise into a
local cars and coffee event. With its deep rumbling exhaust note
and stunning presentation, this Nova is sure to turn heads wherever
it goes. Please call if interested or e-mail with specific
