Vehicle Description
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this beautiful 1929 Chevrolet
Stake Truck for your consideration. Its 6 cylinder paired with a
manual transmission runs very well and handles the road as it
should. This fun little truck has a nice and shiny red and black
paint job. It's a great combination of stock 1929 Chevy truck and
traditional Street Rod. It has the additions of an Oooga Horn and a
Wolf Whistle. It's a great basic and fun little truck.
Chevrolet did not change much throughout the late 20's and early
30's and without looking too closely, the difference between their
1929 and 1930 Chevrolet Universal was almost indistinguishable. The
few items adjusted from one year to the next were subtle but
important which included a more slanted windshield which rid the
driver of glare issues. The market was looking for a quicker and
more reliable ride than previous years and Chevrolet delivered just
that when adding their new 194 CID "Stovebolt Six" which boosted
horsepower upwards to 50 ponies. Their big marketing ploy, which
turned out to be a great success, was that their new model and
power-plant was "A Six in the price range of a Four".
