Vehicle Description
-Medium Azzuro Metallizzato with Red leather interior, Red

transmission, Styled by Giovanni Michelotti at Vignale, Rare 1 of
348 Series 1 cars, Restored, Matching Numbers, Collector-owned,
Borrani wire wheels.
With success of the 3500 GT, Maserati released an updated version
in 1963 now called the Sebring, with homage from their 1957 racing
victory at the 12 Hours of Sebring. The Sebring was built on the
short-wheelbase chassis of the 3500 Spyder and therefore
subsequently styled by Vignale. The 5-speed gearbox, four-wheel
disc brakes and fuel injection were now all standard equipment.
During previous ownership of this Sebring, the original engine was
converted from the Lucas fuel injection system to triple Weber
carburetors.
This Sebring has been superbly restored and retains its original
numbers matching engine. Housed in a New England collection since
restoration, this Sebring has always been maintained and prepped
for immediate use and enjoyment, all systems in the Maserati were
always maintained regardless of use.
Traded to Autosport Designs on a few years ago toward another
automobile from our inventory, it was then sold to a well-known and
respected Collector-Collection in New York where it has housed
since. Just traded once again to Autosport Designs and towards
another automobile from our inventory, we are pleased to have been
able to have this Sebring back in inventory and available once
again.
This Sebring is in exceptional condition throughout and includes
its original tool kit and jack. An iconic example of Maserati's
six-cylinder GT cars, this Sebring is one of the finest examples
available and ready for immediate use and enjoyment.
