The late '90s / early 2000s Trans Am's are the next big investment
car. Their rarity, styling and performance make them the hottest
cars of their era and prices are beginning to trend upwards. It's
wise to buy now while still affordable. This is an excellent
original example that was owned and cared for by a GM employee.
This WS-6 has all the right color options and additional
performance parts added on.
EXTERIOR: This car features the WS-6 option with the snorkel nose
Ram Air Induction. The color combination is extremely sharp. It's
finished in sunset orange metallic paint. It is accented with glass
roof T Tops, Ebony leather interior and factory polished 17" alloy
wheels. The paint is the original paint with no repairs; no rust or
dents. Walking around it I could only find a couple stone chips on
the hood and a tiny scratch towards the bottom of the door! It has
always been stored indoors and maintained. The pop-up headlights
are in great working order.
INTERIOR: The interior is well cared for showing no stains or wear
on the light colored leather or carpet. It's literally like sitting
in a brand new car. It is all stock down to the Monsoon CD stereo,
no holes cut for aftermarket stereo, gauges, switches, etc - with
the exception of a hurst shifter. Everything in the interior works
as it should. The power windows go up and down with ease, power top
latches effortlessly, and all the gauges, radio, power antenna,
etc. work. Air conditioning blows cold.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The engine bay looks as fresh as it did rolling
off the showroom floor. The orange paint in the engine bay has no
signs of rust or deterioration; the bare nuts and bolts have no
corrosion. This is a factory 6 speed as well as a factory equipped
LS6 engine block. Due to shortages in LS1 castings, some Trans Ams
received C5 Z06 Blocks when built. These cars are identified by the
donut casting marks on the block. They contain better oil pressure
than non LS6 T/A's. This Trans Am is lightly modified with a full
SLP exhaust, Hypertech tuner, SLP intake and lid, and a ported
throttle body. All these upgrades were done by the original GM
employee and owner.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The trunk opens by remote key chain as well as
an interior release button. Still looks new inside; the jambs are
clean and the weather stripping is good. The T Tops lock in place
in the bottom of the trunk. We also have a folder filled with the
original window sticker, SLP receipts, and vehicle information.
UNDERSIDE: The undercarriage is amazing with no rust or corrosion
on any of the body panels. It's clean and free of any heavy dirt or
debris. It has the factory markings and tags. The exhaust is a full
SLP exhaust from the headers back. The WS-6 package gives you
upgraded suspension, rear sway bar, and stiffer springs. The rear
end was regeared with 4.10 gears.
A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am
offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen
are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your
questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a
walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a
particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car.
Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you
will be given a 1 year membership.
