Vehicle Description
This 1958 MG MGA is the quintessential fun British roadster that
comes in a great color combo and has thousands $$$$$ in recent
receipts for quality work. It's the kind of drop-top that's ideal
when looking for one classic that you can collect, drive, and
proudly park on a show field.
There are a few body styles out there that make you say "Wow!" from
the moment they come into view, and the MGA is in that very select
class. It's in the long flowing fenders that help create the
low-cut doorline, the aggressive rear fenders that kick up for the
wheels, and the unmistakably smooth European trunk (boot) design.
There's shining brightwork everywhere from the curvy chrome bumpers
to the waterfall grille. Plus, wire wheels with knock-off hubs were
an option from the factory, and it just seems like a must-have to
complete the iconic appearance. The Glacier Blue paint was given a
nice respray, and since this was done later in life, there's the
kind of aging that will make people suspect it's original. So it's
bright and glossy while still being quite vintage, and that
impresses in the right classic car crowds.
The British have always excelled at color combinations, and this
interior proves it. The tan is a tasteful but distinct contrast to
the exterior blue and dash. This has the best of classic motoring
with a wood-rimmed steering wheel (MotoLita), clear British Jaeger
gauges, and the crisp action of the gearstick. It's true purist
motoring that will have you wanting to go for a drive every sunny
day. And if you do ever get caught in the rain, the folding roof
will save you from most of the downfall. It also comes with a black
canvas cockpit cover.
The engine bay has a show-ready style that comes from a proper
investment. The bold maroon block looks great against the exterior
blue, and everyone loves the detailed style of the twin SU carbs.
The 1500cc B-series motor is a robust powerplant, and we know it
remains vigorous because of the receipt file. We have documentation
showing $23k spent within the last few months on the engine,
suspension, wiring, and more making sure this is quite a solid
driver. And you see it everywhere from the rebuilt carburetors to
the clean aluminum radiator. There are even new 2022 Michelin
tires. So it makes for a car you can confidently enjoy. And the
four-speed manual gearbox combines with the legendary nimble
steering to really let you feel why these are legendary back road
roadsters.
The sale comes complete with the receipts and the British Motor
Industry Heritage Trust certificate. It all proves this is a great
classic and a great driver's car. So it's time to experience your
favorite road with a true vintage MGA. Call today!!!
