This 1983 Jeep CJ-7 is a really cool Jeep that was restored 5-6
years ago and has around 4,000 miles since being restored. It was
used as a summer toy only and always stored inside. It was built to
be a reliable driver/weekend warrior. It was frame-off restored and
everything was gone through and is either new or refurbished. Good
looking Jeep that runs and drives great and can be used as a fun
toy but is capable to go off road. The body on this Jeep is very
clean. When it was restored the CJ tub was replaced with a YJ tub
that was clean and rust free. This Jeep has no rust issues. It was
completely repainted in the color of Medium Blue and everything was
disassembled for paint. At that time the They added front and rear
aftermarket bumpers and the rear bumper has a swing away tire
carrier. The front has a Warn Winch that was never wired and the
last owner just liked the look of it. The underside is clean and
the original CJ frame was stripped and recoated.
The interior is in great condition! The bucket seats have been
newly recovered, it has a cool Digital Dash, a nice Center Console,
and it is set up for a nice stereo system. There are plenty of
speakers installed but it needs a stereo headunit. The headlights,
taillights, brakelights, and blinkers are all working. The wipers,
heat and horn also work.
Mechanically this Jeep is great!! A lot has been done to it. The
engine is the 4.2L 258 Inline 6 that runs excellent!! There are
ound 53,000 miles on the rebuilt engine according to the last
owner. We found no issues or red flags and believe this to be true.
he added a Borla header with Flowmaster Exhaust. They also added a
Weber Carb, HEI Ignition, HD Alternator, and Electric Fuel Pump.
The transmission is a T5 5 Speed manual with a upgraded new
hydraulic clutch at the time of restoration. It is mated to the
Dana 300 transfer case and the 4WD works like it should. It has the
AMC 20 rear axle with 4.88 gears and locker. The front axle is a
Dana 30 front axle with 4.88 gears. They added all new driveshafts,
steering , and ball joints when restored. They also added a 4 1/2
Inch Rubicon Express Lift Kit with new shocks, new springs, HD
Shackles, and stainless brake lines. This is all sitting on a nice
set of Black steel wheels with 35 Inch BFG All terrain tires.
pretty Awesome Jeep!!
