This 1979 Chevrolet C10 is an original, unrestored NC truck with
just 21,101 actual miles. It is recently acquired from a large
private collection where it was in climate controlled storage for
approximately 22 years. This C10 was special ordered in August
1978, By Tom McCrary, owner Of McCrary Chevrolet-Oldsmobile,
Brevard, NC from 1933-1979, As His Demonstrator, with 24 factory
optional accessories costing $3,582.00, including $306.00 special
order medium green paint, offered only on Buick, Cadillac and
Oldsmobile Cars, with the MSRP totaling $8,859.00. Options include
Silverado trim package, luxury interior trim with extra foam padded
velour seat, deluxe two tone paint, 350 4 barrel V8 engine, turbo
hydramatic automatic transmission, variable ratio power steering,
heavy duty power disc brakes, air conditioning, tinted glass, am-FM
radio, full instrumentation, power windows, cruise control, tilt
steering wheel, sliding rear window, front bumper guards, LR 78-15
whitewall radial tires, passenger car bright deluxe stainless steel
wheel covers, heavy duty suspension with trailer towing package and
auxiliary fuel tank. Dealer installed optional accessories include
class 3 receiver hitch, adjustable electric brake trailer brake
controller, towing mirrors, side window vent shades and
undercoating. The truck still retains both sets of its original
keys & code # inserts with dealer stock # key tag, key fob and
display name plate on the tailgate. The 1979 NC dealer plate is
also still displayed. The starting and seat belt instructions are
still on the driver's sun visor. The cigar lighter and ash tray
have never been used and a period service litter bag covers them.
The door weather stripping retains their factory vacuum seal. All
documents from when the truck was built, shipped, sold, annually
inspected documenting the mileage and service receipts are still
present and will be included with purchase.
