1970 Chevrolet CST10, the highest option truck of the era with 400 V8 engine, AC, CST trim, and many other options. This was a truck bought for pleasure and to show-off, not as a work truck, and it was kept as a pleasure truck all its life. Everything is original on the truck, and in good shape. Even the paint in the bed still looks good, with minimal scratches, additional proof of the life this truck had. There are only small dings and imperfections - for example the CST-specific wood-like exterior lower trim is brittle from the AZ heat (I believe that is sort of a plastic trim); it is still OK and intact though.
For the last five years or so, the truck is in a warehouse, in storage - this virus story kept it there... and now I finally decided to reluctantly let it go. I did start it a few times a year during this storage time.
This is a detailed overview. Please ask questions, where needed.
Drivetrain: Nothing compares to the rumble of the big V8... The truck starts immediately, the engine runs great with an amazing sound through the dual exhaust, and everything is in very nice order. I do recommend the buyer to go through the basics, such as change all the fluids, since as mentioned, the truck was not driven other than for maintenance over the past five years. The buyer may also change the tires - they re very good but you can call them "old".
Body: There is no rust, and the body is very straight. The paint is original and still looks amazing. In fact all the truck is untouched as it came from the factory. In fairness of full disclosure, the only couple minor rust bubbles are in the front lower corner of the passenger door (see picture 23). In picture 24, I show "the other side" of the door just to show that there is "nothing", just some moisture that accumulated in that corner. Other "minor imperfections" on the body are shown in pictures 23 and 26 (the lower plastic trim that imitates wood on the passenger door and below the auxiliary gas tank cap is not in best shape), in picture 25 (the toolbox door is slightly misaligned, and the upper plastic trim on the bed, that imitates wood, is missing), in picture 27 (the passenger corner of the bed near the tailgate, was banged going back in the garage), and in picture 28 (the passenger wheel flare was "brushed", again by going "very close" in the garage.
Interior: Everything is very clean. Door panels are excellent, with all the CST custom trim very good, the dash is not cracked, the seats haven no rips, stains, or tears, the CST custom padding on the roof is excellent, the carpet is perfect, the sun visors are very good, all the gauges (oil, temperature, battery, gas, speed) work. The cover of the cabin light (up on the roof near the rear glass - see picture 16), is missing. The truck has a custom sports steering wheel which is the only thing non-original to the truck, but I do have ordered a brand new factory steering wheel which the buyer can install if desired.
Other: The truck has a toolbox (option). I lost the key to the toolbox. The truck also has a secondary tank (option) which I did not use. I do have the key to the tank door. I ordered the stock steering wheel, as mentioned, since I wanted to install it, but I did not have time. I also had the intention to replace the tail light bezels (which I mentioned that the passenger one is a little banged), but I ended up ordering by mistake the tail-light housings (see picture 22, on the left of the steering wheel - these housings are much more expensive..., well...). The truck has the original hubcaps, which are in very good condition. The AC I understand needs to be converted to R134.
