Vehicle Description
1948 Willys Jeepster - 134ci Inline 4 Cylinder - 3-Speed Manual -
68k Miles Shown - Yellow Over Black Interior Garage Kept Motors is
excited to feature is a great 1948 Willys Jeepster four-passenger
phaeton. This yellow Willys was treated to an older cosmetic
restoration. There are a few minor blemishes and chips in the
finish as expected on an older repaint, but this fun little
Jeepster is striking with the two-tone yellow and black finish that
presents with a nice luster. The bumpers and related chrome trim
are largely original showing some light patina and pitting but
still shimmer with a nice shine. The red metal wheels feature
chrome trim rings and wheel covers and have era-correct BF Goodrich
Silvertown wide white wall bias ply tires mounted on them. Inside
the cabin has been restored with new seat vinyl, carpet and the
door panels have been recovered. The dash holds a center-mounted
gauge package that includes oil, coolant temp and amp gauge, and
engine-turned trim face. A manual column shifter handles the
transition of the gears. Under the dash is the functional factory
heater box. The tonneau cover is newer and fits well. The
convertible top frame is included in the sale of this vehicle but
is not currently installed and will require a top. Under the hood
sits the 134cid four-cylinder Go Devil L-head engine. The engine
compartment is unrestored with some light detailing and presents as
well-maintained. Underneath the chassis is unrestored. The frame is
solid, however, there is some rust through in the front floorboards
that has been temporarily addressed. New fuel and brake lines have
been installed. This Willys Jeepster is a great little cruiser and
would be a huge hit in your hometown parades and shows. It would
also be a great way to transport the kids for some ice cream.
