For Sale: 1993 Chevrolet S10 in Lavergne, Tennessee

Vehicle Description

Chevy never set out to make a mini-truck, let alone start a show-truck movement that's growing in popularity each year, but looking at this awesome 1993 Chevrolet S-10, you'd never know it. With a show-worthy 4.3L V6 installation, amazing bespoke interior, slammed stance, and a high-visibility custom paint job, it's the sport truck you wish GM would build. Well, here it is, ready to turn heads everywhere it goes. Even with a showroom full of classics, this is the truck that always has a crowd around it when we pop the hood.

S-10's were always handsome, utilitarian trucks that were all over the road in the '80s and '90s, but none of them ever looked this amazing. A cowl induction hood, a custom reworked chrome front bumper, slick custom chrome grille with integrated side marker lights, and billet inserts give it a distinctive look that still looks slightly OEM, although much more attention-grabbing. Show-quality red paint is anything but subtle, and it was expertly applied along with hand-worked pinstripes for a little contrast and trick look. This was obviously a straight truck to begin with and the guys doing the work knew their stuff because it's laser straight with nary an imperfection, and the shine and gloss of the deep finish is about as nice as you'll ever see. Other than the chrome Bowtie in the grille, this truck was completely shaved of all badges and door handles, and the bed is absolutely amazing too, with tons of hours and expert craftsmanship spent on smoothing and rounding off the tailgate, smoothing and rounding off the corners inside the bed, and then drowning it in deep red paint. It's incredibly impressive, and if you know anything about bodywork, then you know the skill it takes to pull something like this off. The rear bumper was deleted in lieu of a roll-pan that looks better than anything OEM, Cadillac Deville taillights were perfectly integrated into the tailgate, and there's a motorized license plate that flips up and down between the bed and the cab. The profile is aggressive thanks to the custom suspension underneath, leaving this S-10 with a one-of-a-kind presence that's quickly become a staff favorite here at Streetside. This is a really slick truck!

The builders continued the custom work inside, featuring black Cipher racing buckets and an awesome fabricated dash that flows seamlessly into the custom door panels. Shiny red and black are the primary colors, with a silver pinstripe separating the two, and the quality of work it took to get the swooping dash to flow into the trick middle console and also to join door panels is truly impressive, especially when the doors are closed and it looks like a single piece of modern art. It's also a comfortable place to hang out, with good support from the racing seats, lots of stretch-out room despite the single cab, and a long list of options: power windows and remote locks, a wood-rimmed billet steering wheeling atop a chrome tilt column, and a center console-mounted control pad for the Air Ride system. The plush black carpets are protected by upscale floor mats and the headliner is taut and neatly finished as well. Six Auto Meter white-face gauges are centered inside a chrome bezel in the center of the trick dash, providing the driver with a very accurate read out of the engine's vitals at all times, and just below them is an aftermarket Alpine AM/FM/CD head unit that manages the tunes. It's not often that significant custom changes to the interior of a vehicle are pulled of so well, but this S-10 gets everything right and it looks so much cooler than the stock spec.

Under the cowl hood, a GM 4.3L V6 was painted in matching red, covered in chrome and polished accessories, and then professionally installed inside the custom engine bay. The V6 in these S-10s was always bulletproof when well-maintained, but we'll bet you clear out the service department when you show up in this cool S10. There are chrome and polished components everywhere you look, including the Edelbrock carburetor, polished intake, shiny valve covers and matching air cleaner, and the inner fenders and firewall have been smoothed and adorned with the same style of pinstriping found on the exterior of the truck. And boy does it run great. The transmission is a smooth-shifting 4L60E 4-speed automatic, which feeds a 10-bolt rear end, and the suspension has been augmented with front tubular A-arms, a 4-link out back, and a full Air Ride system with bags front and rear. Providing the killer soundtrack is a set of long-tube headers that feed into a dual exhaust system that cuts out right after the Glasspack-style mufflers, giving the truck just enough rumble to scare the neighbors. Staggered Riddler chrome wheels finish the insanely cool look, wrapped in 235/45/18 front and 245/40/20 rear performance radials for plenty of grip.

Mini-trucks like this are insanely cool, but not many are done to such a high, professional standard while still showing off tricks everywhere you look. It looks amazing, still drives like a truck is supposed to, and feels fully engineered, but since its one of none, it's always going to attract attention. Call today!
