This 1933 Ford Speedster Coupe for sale was created by Downs Manufacturing and is a high quality street rod. The car was built for show in 2006. She was purposely enhanced to provide a higher quality of handling performance, as well as a more comfortable fit for drivers, which is not common in most speedster street rods.
The beautiful design of high-quality fiberglass and steel has been channeled an extra 4 inches in width on the side panels and hood. This provides for additional room for the driver and engine. This enhancement also provides a longer and lower profile look that incorporates less aerodynamic drag and a better handling experience while driving. In addition, the wheelbase was lengthened from 112” to 115” to provide better high performance handling when driving the car.

LIST OF EQUIPMENT FEATURES:• Top is chopped 3 1/2 inches and the body has been channeled 4 inches. The hood and side panels are extended 4 inches. Front suspension has 2 inch drop spindles.
• Equipped with suicide doors, and hidden hinges and bear claw latches.
• Downs Chassis Full 1/8 “ thick steel (boxed) frame and crossmembers with 2” tubular X member. This car has a 3” extended wheelbase of 115” for better high performance handling characteristics.

• Powered by Chevrolet V8, H0 (high output ) 350 cu in with 330 hp and 385 lbs torque engine.
Engine specs as follows: 4 bolt main block ; nodular iron crankshaft; PM steel connecting rods; strong cast aluminum pistons; Vortex 64 cc cast iron cylinder heads with 1.94” intake and 1.5 “ exhaust valves; dual pattern camshaft with a mild muscle car “ lumpy idle “from the increased lift and duration on the exhaust side.
•The lift and duration of intake was slightly decreased to build more cylinder pressure, resulting in more torque and horsepower from a 9.1 to 1 compression ratio that allows for PREMIUM GAS ONLY.
