This 1983 Jeep CJ7 Renegade is an all steel and very clean Jeep
that spent most of its life in California, Arizona, and New Mexico.
This is a rust free Jeep that is mostly stock and it was
selectively restored. It is a great color combo and it runs and
drives great!! The body on this Jeep is excellent. It is extremely
straight and solid. It was repainted in its original color of Sun
Orange and they added a new bestop soft top with soft doors after
it was painted. It does come with the hard doors as well which are
pictured. They did a really nice job on the repaint and they added
new Renegade Emblems after paint. We are unsure if this is a real
Renegade but it does have a lot of the Renegade options like
leather steering wheel, tachometer, and clock. There is a nice
aftermarket front winch bumper with a newer 9500 pound SmittyBilt
winch. It also has a matching rear bumper with receiver that was
added. The underside is also very clean and we found no rust issues
with this Jeep.
The interior is also really nice. They added new Rocky Ridge front
and rear seats and a nice center console. This Jeep has the factory
roll bar and tilt wheel. The headlights, taillights, brakelights,
and turn signals are all working. The gauges all work and the
tachometer and clock also work which is a nice bonus. The only
thing we found not working was the horn.
Mechanically this Jeep is excellent and it runs and drives
wonderful. It has the 258 Inline 6 (4.2L) engine that runs great
and it looks to be all stock. It has the 904 Automatic transmission
that shifts nice and it is mated to the Dana 300 transfer case. The
4WD works like it should. The rear axle is the AMC 20 with 3.31
gears and the front axle is the Dana 30 with 3.31 gears. It
recently had new Rancho shocks installed. This is all sitting on a
nice set of steel wheels with 31 Inch BFG All terrain tires!!!
