"Few cars rival the C2 Corvette as far as beauty, especially when
it comes to American sports cars. The Stingray design was the
perfect evolution from the C1, adding a more muscular, aggressive
feel to match the respectable performance. This is why so many
admire the second-gen Corvettes, but even among those this '66
convertible is something special." - Motorious
This 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible is finished in its factory
color of Nassau Blue with blue interior and white top. Until
recently this car had been under the same ownership since the early
70's. This Corvette has been well maintained through-out the years
and most recently has had over $17,000 worth of work performed
which includes a new rear suspension system, new tires, and a
complete motor rebuild by R&L Engines in Dover New
Hampshire.
The Nassau Blue paint presents well with a great shine but does
have the typical road wear that would be expected with older paint
and a car that has been driven and enjoyed. The blue interior
upholstery also shows well with no excessive wear. Imperfections
include a few small stains in the rear carpeting and an aftermarket
radio that is not working.
This 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible was well loved and driven
with the numbers matching 327 cubic inch 300 horsepower motor and
the original three-speed manual transmission. With both a hardtop
and soft top this Corvette is ready to roll whether you are going
to the next show, cruising the back roads, or looking for a solid
car for restoration.
